    I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to become part of our continuing education program. I have been teaching Dentists Orthopaedics, Orthodontics and T.M.J. therapy for over 25 years and found these concepts invaluable for developing a modern day practice. The courses are designed for General Dental Practitioners to implement a practical and progmatic approach to your patients orthodontic needs.


    Dr. Truitt received his B.S. degree from Texas Christian University and his D.D.S. degree from Baylor University. He has maintained a full time practice in Gainesville, Texas since 1967. Dr Truitt has co-authored four text books and published numerous papers worldwide.

Course II

This is an all new seminar using the latest advances in Orthodontic technology.


New Delta Force System
You will be taught:
  • The Delta Force Bracket (Appliance System will be explained in detail)

  • Sliding Mechanics using:

Course III


Bimler Elite ®
We will explore:
  • How to trace and interpret the Bimler Elite® Cephalometric Analysis

  • How to make and interpret T.M.J. radiographs (corrected transcranials, Towns, trans-orbital, posterior-anterior, submental vertex, panoramic)

  • Basic T.M.D. diagnosis

  • Evalution of pre and post treatment records. (You can document the progress of your patients)

Advanced Orthodontic Therapy

Course IV

A unique opportunity to practice bracket placement, ligating archwires, elastics and various attachments for mechanical movements.

We will practice:
  • "Hands-on" application of all treatment procedures using the provided typodont. (Auxiliaries are urged to attend this session)

  • How to treat impacted cuspids

  • When and how to remove labial and lingual frenums

Advanced Dento-Facial Orthopaedics

Course V

This seminar is constantly updated with the newest "state of the art" appliances and treatment concepts. It is an easy way for the doctor to stay up to date on all of the latest advances in diagnosis and clinical procedures.

This seminar will cover:
  • How to make all removable orthopaedic appliances fixed

  • Advanced Class III treatment and retention using the Truitt III Appliance and the Frankel III Appliance

  • Selection and use of various reverse pull headgears

  • Selecting the best appliances for:
    • Arch Development - child, teen and adult
    • Mandibular Translation - (skeletal Class II correction), child, teen and adult
  • How to finish those difficult cases

  • Personal Evaluation of Orthopaedic skills

 


Practicable T.M.J. Therapy

Course VI

A definitive course dedicated to a simple and practical approach to T.M.J. Therapy.






This seminar will cover:
  • Review the anatomy of the head, neck and T.M.J.

  • Diagnosis of internal and external derangements

  • Classification of derangements

  • Splint construction and adjustment

  • T.M.J. medications and nutrition

  • Physical therapy - in office and at home

  • Stabilization and finishing of the T.M.J.
